According to the latest production numbers from analysts ‘Global Insight’, Volkswagen has overtaken Toyota to become the largest automobile manufacturer.



According to the latest reports, following were the top passenger car producers in the first three quarters of 2009:


1.Volkswagen 4.4 Million

2.Toyota 4 Million

3.Ford 3.7 Million

4.General Motors 3.6 Million


The credit of the VW group’s massive success is attributed to the new Golf and Polo hatches and the Fabia and Octavia models from its sister brand - Skoda.
