First let me tell you about Blogger.com in brief. It is a platform which users can create a website using this platform. It is one of the products from Google.com. There might be some other platform like Wordpress.com and others out there. But I personally prefer Blogger.com. And I will tell you why I prefer this more than the others.

Disadvantages of using Blogger.com
- Cannot control the user information
- Almost one way distribution
- Limited features
- No direct access to files
- The ownership still remains to Blogger.com
- Long domain name (i.e if you want a custom domain name like www.yoursite.com, you must buy it. It costs approximately $ 10 per year)

My recommendation for Blogger.com
- You do not want to invest any penny
- You do not have a lot of data or information to be posted
- You do this for personal hobby or small website just for information sharing
- You do not need to manage your user information
- You want to promote your other main websites or products
- You may quit writing in the future

As you can see blogging is just more or less a hobby or doing it for fun. If you gonna make it as a business level, then it may not be a good choice for you.
