The C-segment is going to be the next big thing in the Indian auto market. In a market which is fast maturing, people are looking at cars which are not just commuting tools but have all the check boxes including style, presence, features and space tick marked. The Vento, in the wake of the increasing popularity of the new Verna, and with its cousin Rapid gearing up to make a debut seems to have added a few more features to its arsenal. The Vento will now boast of some additional features to lure the customers buying into the segment. The top of the line Vento Highline variant now comes with features such as steering mounted controls, parking sensors and a USB slot for the music system. Small additions, those, but for a buyers in that segment, another car offering those features may tilt the decision.Wise move that, we must say.

So in case you were unwilling to buy the Vento for the lack of the features mentioned above, you have your worries allayed.

Mumbai, November 10, 2011: Riding with the success of the Vento in the country, Volkswagen, Europe’s leading car manufacturer is now offering steering mount audio controls, park distance control, RCD 310 Music System with USB & 4 speakers as standard features in the highline diesel variant.

The new features have been introduced in the market to further enhance the driving pleasure of the Volkswagen Vento in India.

The car is available for customers at Rs. 9,77,500/- ex showroom Delhi.

The Vento is available with a petrol and diesel variant. The petrol variant is equipped with a 1.6 litre engine with an output of 105 PS @ 5250 rpm and a Torque of 153NM @ 3800 rpm.

The diesel variant is also equipped with the 1.6 litre engine with an output of 105 PS @ 4400 rpm and a Torque of 250 NM @ 1500-2500 rpm.

It is available in two trim levels i.e. Trendline, Highline. The petrol variant is paired with a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic gear box and the diesel variant is paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox.

Interior:

It is equipped with storage compartment in front doors for 1 litre Bottles, sunglass storage inside glove box, foldable roof handles with coat hooks, front and rear centre armrest, cupholders and “Livon” fabric upholstery are proof of the sure instinct of high design quality which interprets the classic elements of the Vento in a contemporary way.

Exteriors

The Vento offers Body colored bumpers, Chrome inlays in front grille, body coloured exterior door handles & mirrors (Highline), rough road package with increased ground clearance and partially zinc coated body with 6 years anti-rust warranty.

Safety

With regards to safety, the Vento Highline is equipped with ABS, Front Airbags for driver and co-driver, Anti Theft system with interior surveillance and back up alarm.

Comfort

The Vento petrol Highline offers CD MP3 Player with 4 speakers, while the diesel highline offers the RCD 310 music system with USB, electrically adjustable outside mirrors, Climatronic automatic air conditioning with rear AC vents, and remote control for central locking. Multi function information display including door opening warning, height adjustable driving seats, space lever for rear passenger and a steering wheel adjustable for reach and rake which improves the drivability of the passenger.
